All-new Civic from RM125,634
Kuala Lumpur, 13 January 2022 – The highly-anticipated Civic is expected to make waves in the market and maintain No. 1 position in the C-segment with its stylish exterior design, premium interior offerings and best-in-class performance.

“In 2016, Honda was the first Japanese mass manufacturer to introduce the VTEC Turbocharged engine in the 10th generation Civic. The acceptance of Honda’s Turbocharged engine in the market was overwhelming, and since then, 60% of the Civic sales were contributed by the Turbocharged variants. Today, we are pleased to offer Malaysians an enhanced VTEC Turbocharged engine will further uplift the C-Segment in terms of performance as well as excite our customers with a thrilling driving experience,” she added.
The 11th generation Civic is offered in three variants – E, V and the sporty RS variant. The enhanced 1.5L VTEC Turbocharged engine comes standard in all variants. Offering customers a thrilling ride, engine performance has been raised to a maximum power output of 182PS and segment-leading 240Nm of torque, which is more powerful than a 2.4L engine performance. The Civic is now offered with a new drive mode option; ECON, Normal and Sport Mode which can be switched easily with Drive Mode Switch. The Sport Mode provides powerful torque sensation and high acceleration responsiveness which reflects on the performance driven DNA of a Civic.
The chassis has been thoroughly refined to offer better handling and ride comfort. Body rigidity of the 11th generation new Civic has been enhanced compared to current Civic, with an 8% increase of torsional rigidity and 13% increase of bending rigidity. This enables the model to realise high-rigidity frame for collision safety and improved handling. Besides that, to enhance quietness and ride comfort, Noise, Vibration and Harshness (NVH) has been improved vastly with the application of insulators, floor undercover and spray foam application in the chassis areas.
The Honda SENSING feature has been enhanced with improved functionality to offer a more natural system intervention. The new Civic receives improved function of Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) with Low Speed Follow (LSF), which slowly decelerates by detecting the brake and indicator lamp of a vehicle ahead and slowly accelerates by controlling acceleration linked with driver operation. Another function improvement in the Honda SENSING is Lane Keep Assist System (LKAS) which enables a natural and smooth steering operation during turn-in and out as well as corrective steering assist in environment such as cross winds and wind pressure beside bigger vehicles.
Other safety features included are Honda LaneWatch*3, Six Airbags, Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA), Hill Start Assist (HSA), Emergency Stop Signal (ESS), Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD) and Auto Brake Hold (ABH). Two new safety features are the Rear Seat Belt Reminder and Driver Attention Monitor. Meanwhile other advanced features are Walk Away Auto Lock and Remote Engine Start comes standard across all variants.
The new Civic is the third Honda Malaysia model to feature Honda’s latest innovative and advanced Honda CONNECT*3 technology. Applying smart Telematics Technology, Honda CONNECT embodies Honda’s vision of value creation for mobility and improvement of daily lives with an intelligent information platform that provides multiple benefits of Safety, Security and Convenience. The new Civic owners will be able to enjoy the Telematics system for the first time, which allows users to connect with their cars with a touch of their fingertips via a smartphone application. Key functions of the Telematics technology in Honda CONNECT include Vehicle Diagnostics, Remote Applications, Security Applications, Vehicle Tracking and Support Services, which are all targeted to provide peace of mind and ease accessibility to the vehicle’s information.
The price of the E variant is RM125,634.64 *4, while the V variant is priced at RM138,043.36 *4. Honda customers can own the RS variant at the price of RM144,350.09 *4. With the launch of this exciting new model, Honda Malaysia targets to sell 900 units per month. Ignite Red Metallic and Meteoroid Gray Metallic are the two new vibrant colours offered in the All-New Civic. Other colour options are Platinum White Pearl, Lunar Silver Metallic and Crystal Black Pearl.
