40 units of Civic delivered to the Military Police

Kuala Lumpur, 10 September 2020 – Honda Malaysia today delivered 40 units of the Civic 1.8S to the Malaysian Army for the purpose of law enforcement and policing duties by the Royal Military Police Corps. This 10th Generation Civic delivery marks the inaugural presentation to the Malaysian Army.

“Previously, the Royal Malaysia Police (RMP) had also chosen the best-selling
C-segment as their new mobile patrol vehicles and we are currently delivering more than 1,000 units of the Civic 1.8S to them to be used for their enforcement duties. Honda Malaysia is proud that the Civic has once again been selected as our frontliners’ vehicle of choice. The Civic will be used by the Royal Military Police Corps for enforcement duties and it is our hope that the ideal model selected will complement and assist the Royal Military Police Corps in their daily commute for their assigned tasks,” said Toichi Ishiyama, managing director and CEO.

The Civic that was presented is powered by a 1.8L i-VTEC engine delivering maximum power output of 141PS and maximum torque of 174Nm. In terms of drivability, the Civic provides excellent stability and agile handling feel as a result of its low and wide body presence. Additionally, the Civic is also certified with Energy Efficient Vehicle (EEV).

Safety is always Honda’s top priority for all its models. The Civic has been awarded with five-star safety rating by ASEAN NCAP and is equipped with top class safety features such as Six Airbags, Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA), Agile Handle Assist (AHA), Hill Start Assist (HSA), Emergency Stop Signal (ESS), Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Brake Assist (BA) and Auto Brake Hold (ABH).
