Konsortium E-Mutiara adopts Scania Ecolution
Bukit Jelutong, 7 January 2019 – Konsortium E-Mutiara Berhad (E-Mutiara), a major bus operator, has become the first company in Asia to adopt Scania Ecolution to reduce their fleet carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions with the purchase of 19 new buses.
Scania Ecolution is a tailor-made partnership designed to reduce CO2 emissions and fuel consumption.
“Scania Ecolution will facilitate the shift towards a sustainable transport system for transport companies transporting goods or people. It is a competitive industry which is increasingly focusing on sustainability,” said Scania Southeast Asia managing director, Marie Sjödin Enström.
“More needs to be done to lower emissions globally to reduce global warming and address climate change,” she added.
“We believe, this will be appreciated by our passengers, knowing that they are going green by choosing us for their journey,” said E-Mutiara executive chairman, Haji Che Ibrahim B. Che Ismail.
By applying a suite of Scania’s total solutions, a company’s sustainability commitment also gets a boost to meet the demand of consumers today for more responsible practices with the aim of just-in-time deliveries and tight profit margins.
E-Mutiara will work with a dedicated Scania Ecolution manager who will monitor the progress and choose from our wide range of solutions to achieve the mutually agreed emission reduction target to achieve its sustainability goals and profitability in the long term.
The Kota Bharu based company has also subscribed to Scania’s Fleet Management System, Scania repair and maintenance, as well as Scania Driver training and coaching to enhance their own service offering.
