KLIMS’18 officially launched

klims-22nov18-aKuala Lumpur, 22 November 2018 – The Kuala Lumpur International Motor Show 2018 (KLIMS’18) was launched today by Anthony Loke Siew Fook, Minister of Transport, Malaysia, Datuk Aishah Ahmad, president, Malaysian Automotive Association (MAA), invited guests, exhibitors and the media.

“This 9th edition of KLIMS themed “Beyond Mobility” is a showcase of the automotive marques including, futuristic concept cars and prototypes from universities on display,” Datuk Aishah.

klims-22nov18-c“It covers 6 exhibition halls over 2 levels, covering 16,000 square meters and 74 participating companies,” she added.

klims-22nov18-b“Mobility of Malaysians is projected to increase to more than 3 times, from 40 million daily trips in 2010 to 131 million in 2030,” said Loke.

“The number of vehicles is expected to increase 1.4 times to 31 million by 2030,” he added.

klims-22nov18-dThe new exhibits include HR-V RS variant, advanced Honda Fuel Cell Vehicle (FCV),
new Vios, Lexus UX,  LS, new Nissan Leaf, Perodua X-Concept, Proton X70, UD Trucks Kuzer, light commercial vehicle, Ranger Raptor, Daihatsu Gran Max and many more.

KLIMS’18 is held at Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC) from 23 November to 2 December and there are host of activities for everyone including the family.
