Scania Top Team regional finals
Bukit Jelutong, 3 October 2018 – Scania Malaysia recently hosted the regional finals of the 2018 Top Team competition involving teams from Australia, Iran, Dubai, Myanmar, Taiwan,Thailand, India, Singapore, New Zealand, Abu Dhabi, Japan, Hong Kong, China, Philippines, Indonesia, South Korea and Malaysia.
“This region contributes 15% of the global sales and our aim in 5 years is to be 30%,” said Anders Gustafsson, Scania regional director, Asia and Oceania, in reply to our question.
“In terms of percentage growth, the region’s growth is 3 times more than Europe,” he added.
“The Top Team competition this year continues from previous years in enhancing the service skills of our personnel,” said Marie Sjödin Enström, managing director, Scania Southeast Asia.
The competition involves each five-member team go through five practical technical challenges and five theoretical challenges stations during which they will be judged on areas such as logistics, methodology, technical knowledge team, discipline and ability to work under pressure.
Taiwan, Dubai, New Zealand and China qualified to participate in the Top Team World Finals in Sweden in December and stand a chance to win the a share of the 100,000 Euros prize money.
