New Tata Super Ace, Ultra 814 and 1014

tata-6april18-aSetia Alam, 6 April 2018 – A new range of trucks in the light-duty category was unveiled yesterday  by DRB-Hicom Commercial Vehicles Sdn Bhd (DHCV), in the presence of His Excellency Shri Mridul Kumar, High Commissioner of India to Malaysia, Dato’ Abdul Harith Abdullah, CEO, Automotive Distribution, DRB-Hicom Bhd, Rudrarup Maitra, head, international business, Rustom Nagporewalla, regional manager, Asia Pacific & Russia, Tata Motors Ltd and Chin Tan Hee, CEO, DHCV. The range consists of the Super Ace, a 1-ton truck, Ultra 814 and Ultra 1014.

“The value of trade between both our countries is valued at US$14 billion,” said Shri.

“By the year 2020, India has set a target of 6 million electric or hybrid powered vehicles and various incentives including free parking is offered,” he added.

“Our forecast is to sell 250 units of these CBU models and there are plans in place to launch the CKD models in 2019,” said Dato’ Harith.

“We also plan to expand our dealer network to a total of 24 outlets in Peninsula and East Malaysia to service sectors including lumber, plantation and logistics,” he added.

The Super Ace is powered by a 1.4-litre diesel engine mated to a 5-speed transmission, the Ultra 814 and 1014 a 3-litre diesel engine mated to a 6-speed transmission. The price ranges from RM46,990 to RM97,990 without insurance.

The warranty offered is 3-years or 100,000km whichever comes first.
