Malaysia Autoshow 2017

mmotorshowSerdang, 9 November 2017 – The 3rd edition of the Malaysia Motorshow was launched today by Dato’ Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, Deputy Prime Minister, Malaysia in the presence of Dato’ Madani Sahari, CEO, MAI, invited guests and exhibitors.

“The automotive sector forms 3.6% of our GDP or RM40 billion employing 700,000 Malasyians and our 2020 target is 10% of our GDP,” said Dato’ Ahmad Hamidi.

“We will also continue to provide incentives for the manufacturing of EEV vehicles,” he addd.

“This 3rd edition is the biggest so far occupying a 42,000 sq ft area and it also includes a 3 km test track for visitors to get a chance to get a feel of the various models,” said Dato’ Madani.

“There are a total of 170 exhibitors with plenty of excitement for everyone and the Kuala Lumpur Automotive Symposium ((KLIAS) is held concurrently from 8 – 12 November,” he added.

All major marquees are present at this Show and the highlights include a sneak preview of the all new Myvi, Ford Mustang GT 5.0, new Honda Civic Type R, Peugeot 208 Puretech, new Toyota Harrier test-drives of models and many more.
