RM74 million investments by Mercedes-Benz Malaysia
Puchong, Selangor, 1 March 2017 – Wisma Mercedes-Benz was launched today by Mercedes-Benz Malaysia (MBM) to house their new headquarters and the Training Academy. This 118,000 sq ft facility is occupied by Mercedes-Benz Services Malaysia and Daimler TSS GmbH. The new six-storey site has also been accredited as the first green industrial building in Subang Jaya and was awarded the LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Gold Certification.
The event was attended Dr Till Conrad, director of after sales region overseas, Pierre-Emmanuel Chartier, director regional centre, Mercedes-Benz Cars, Daimler Commercial Vehicles South East Asia, Kay-Wolf Ahlden, member of the board of management, Africa & Asia Pacific, Daimler Financial Services AG, Peter Henn and senior vice president, regional head South-East Asia and Southern China / Sales & Marketing DFS Africa & Asia Pacific, Thomas Hungerland.
“We have very exciting times ahead of us as we look forward to continue redefining the benchmark in the premium segment with the best products, the best service and the best customer experience,” said Mercedes-Benz Malaysia President and CEO, Dr Claus Weidner.
“Our new purpose-built facility will enable us to consistently provide high levels of service, expertise and reliability to satisfy our customers, who expect the highest standards of excellence,” added Dr Weidner.
Joerg Himmelmann, MBM Training Academy director of global training handed over a unit of the Mercedes-Maybach S500 to Heinrich Schromm, MBM vice-president, after sales as a mark of the occasion.
All guests and the media were then taken on a tour of the new facility by Dominic Wells, senior manager, Training Academy.
“Last year we had 28 students at our academy and this year’s intake is expected to 60 in order to cater for the needs of the region,” said Dominic.
