Bus & Truck 2015
Bangkok, 5 November 2015 – The 12th edition of the Bus & Truck 2015 was officially launched today by Ormsin Chivapruck, Deputy Minister of Transportation, Chatree Munka, managing director, TTF International (organiser), Dr Prajin Eemlumnao, CEO, Grand Prix International, Vichai Chirathiyut, director, Thailand Automotive Institute, Yu Chiara Yuenyongpong, president, Land Transportation Federation of Thailand, Dr Wasuchet Sophonsatien, president, Thai Transportation Operators Association, invited guests and major exhibitors.
“The Ministry of Transportation aims to operate and implement government policies to enhance Thailand as the hub of transportation and logistics of AEC. I really appreciate the effort made in organising this exposition which will be the stage for new technologies, innovation, new products related to commercial and logistics industries. It will also be a platform for manufacturers, dealers, operators to exchange knowledge including promoting good service mind and ethic while supporting Thailand to step forward to AEC proudly,” Ormsin said.
“The event this year is organised under the theme of ‘Next Stop AEC’ to express our intention to be one of potential mobilizer to support Thailand as the center of commercial vehicle showcase hub of ASEAN. In last year’s event, there were more 500 vehicles worth about 1,000 MB were sold. We expect to get a good result the with positive factors especially the economy motivation plan offered by our government,” Chatree said.
This year, the floor space of 10,000 sq meters was occupied by a large number of exhibitors including FUSO, Volvo Truck, Scania, Iveco, Beiben, Yutong, UD Truck and Sitrak. Shell was presenting sponsor.
A host of other activities like a forum on the latest in diesel technology, electronic cargo tracking, award for the best transport bus company, added more colour to this event. The participation of the major bus and truck industry players is expected to the industry another step forward. It underlines the importance of this event as the premier bus and truck expo in the local calendar.
In addition to display of the various models and products, the presence of body builders make this event all the more complete for the 15,000 visitors expected from 5th to 7th November.
