Scania signs MOU with IKTBNT

Nilai, Negeri Sembilan, 30 September – Scania Malaysia, accredited as the Centre of National Dual Training System (NDTS), by the Department of Skills Development, Ministry of Human Resources Malaysia, recently took part in an MOU exchange with Institut Kemahiran Tinggi Belia Negara Dusun Tua (IKTBNDT). The exchange was done between Heba El Tarifi, managing director, Scania Southeast Asia and Dalila Sharingat, director of IKTBNDT, and witnessed by Guest of Honour YB Dato’ Seri Ahmad Faizal Dato’ Azumu, Minister of Youth and Sports Malaysia and His Excellency Dr Joachim Bergstrőm, Swedish Ambassador to Malaysia at the Institusi Latihan Kemahiran Belia dan Sukan (ILKBS) Career Fest Central Region 2022 held at AEON Mall, Nilai. The event was also graced by top officials from the Ministry of Youth and Sports, IKTBN and IKBN centres throughout Malaysia.

Activa Hybrid model study

First ADR P410 A6x2NA delivered in Sarawak

Bintulu, 8 September 2022 – Scania Malaysia recently delivered the first Scania ADR new truck generation (NTG) P410 A6x2NA in Sarawak to Jospun Jaya Sdn. Bhd. (Jospun Jaya) at the Scania workshop in Bintulu and will also be supported by the workshop in Kuching. This ADR specification NTG comes with Repair & Maintenance (R&M) Contract; Scania Fleet Management System (FMS) Control 10; 24/7 Scania Assistance and supported by Scania Hire Purchase. The key was handed to Madang Jok, director, Jospun Jaya.

Swift logistics commits to go electric

Shah Alam, 20 August 2022 – Swift Haulage Bhd signed a Memorandum of Understanding (“MoU”) recently with Volvo Trucks Malaysia for the purchasing of electric vehicle trucks, exploring the potential charging network, developing qualified human capital development and technology sharing for electro mobility in Malaysia. Scania Super 7 special

Bukit Jelutong, 3 August 2022 – Scania launched the Super 7 promotion, being the first heavy-duty commercial vehicle manufacturer in Malaysia to package a combination of seven years instalment plan with seven years maintenance contract that will lock-in profits for seven years on a Scania truck purchased. The promotional period will be until on 31 December 2022.

Scania accredited by JPK

Dusun Tua, 16 June 2022 – Scania Malaysia recently was accredited as the Centre of Sistem Latihan Dual Nasional (SLDN) or National Dual Training System (NDTS), by the Jabatan Pembangunan Kemahiran (JPK) or Department of Skills Development, of the Ministry of Human Resources. This makes Scania Malaysia the only company in the heavy commercial vehicle industry in Malaysia to be accredited for this training programme. The event that started the training for 2022 was held at the Institut Kemahiran Tinggi Belia Negara, Dusun Tua (IKTBNDT) and was officialised by Dalila Sharingat, Director, IKTBNDT. Representing Scania was Navindran Rajendran, people and culture business partner, Scania Southeast Asia, Khairull Anuar Ismail, SLDN accredited centre manager, Scania Malaysia and Nurulain Sulaiman, SLDN coach, Scania Malaysia.
