New Avanza

Subang Jaya, 11 January 2012 – UMW Toyota Motor today launched the second generation Avanza that provides better comfort, convenience, maneuverability and performance. It is also equipped with safety, quality and durability to be the decent value and reliable MPV.

“The first generation Avanza was launched in October 2004 and was an immediate hit among the Malaysian public. It was the best-selling non-national model for three years in a row since 2005 till 2007 and we sold a total of 140,000 units up till end 2011,” said Ismet Suki, President, UMW Toyota Sdn Bhd.

The new Avanza retains the practical, yet dynamic design of a small MPV. The new but significant changes include a wider and dynamic styling front outlook with three-dimensional appearance centered on the bonnet ornament which creates an image of strength. The windscreen angle is shallower, giving a sportier profile giving a positive benefit to aerodynamics.

The interior has a modern-looking image and spaciousness has been one of the strong points. It has a new black interior theme combined with solid and modern surface textures present an image of quality comparable to that of a passenger car.

There are four variants available consisting of 1.5S auto, 1.5G auto, 1.5E auto and 1.3E manual with the price starting from RM64,590. It comes with the three years or 100,000 kilometer, whichever comes first warranty.
