Kuala Lumpur, 31 July 2010 – Sime Darby Auto Performance Sdn Bhd (SDAP) today presented the new Cayenne series as well as the Panamera with V6 engines.

“Since we opened bookings for the new Cayenne models in June, we received an overwhelming number of bookings from customers without seeing the real car or even knowing the price,” said Arnt Bayer, the new CEO of SDAP.

“The Cayenne is the biggest selling model for Porsche is Asia excluding China with Taiwan and South Korea being the main markets,” he added.

Led by the Cayenne S Hybrid, the first Porsche with hybrid drive and the cleanest model throughout Porsche’s entire portfolio, all Cayenne models in the new generation will be trendsetters in efficiency and performance in their respective segments. The new Cayenne has been developed according to the principles of “Porsche Intelligent Performance”: more power on less fuel, greater efficiency and lower CO2 emissions. The new Cayenne is more dynamic, more efficient, more spacious inside and is lighter overall.

There will be five variants – Cayenne, Cayenne Diesel, Cayenne S, Cayenne S Hybrid and Cayenne Turbo. The price will be RM550,000, RM560,000, RM680,000, RM720,000 and RM940,000 respectively. They also come with a 4 year/100,000km free service and maintenance package.

The new Panamera and Panamera 4 were also introduced at the same event. The Panamera's price is RM730,000 and the Panamera 4 RM760,000.
