New Exora
The improved Exora introduces further refinements to the already successfully selling model and is powered by the 1.6-litre Campro CPS engine. It is available in the Base, Medium and High-line variants featuring both manual and automatic transmissions. Available for viewing and booking from today, the new Exora benefits from a series of enhancements designed to cement its status as a practical, stylish and affordable full-fledged seven-seater people carrier. All three variants feature a brand new interior colour theme, steering wheel finishing and door inner handle finishing. The High-line variant benefits from the most number of refinements, that includes a new centre panel finishing, a new panel shift lever finishing, fog lamp garnish, door visors, and a boot organizer. Both the High and Medium-line variants also come factory-fitted with 15 inch alloy wheels and all-around body kit. With its dual air-conditioning blowers, auto cruise function, and Intelligent Electronic Body Control Programme among others, the new Exora also currently offers the best specifications and level of equipment for an MPV of its size and price segment. Since its launch in April last year right till 30 June 2010, some 32,540 units have been registered on the road with an average of 2,300 units sold per month. Proton has received a total of 42,916 bookings for the Exora since then, making it one of the hottest selling models in its stable of vehicles. “With the introduction of the new Exora, we are confident of increasing the existing sales volume to 2,500 units per month which would surpass our target to sell some 28,690 units of the Exora in the current 2010/2011 financial year,” said Proton Holdings Berhad Group Managing Director Dato’ Haji Syed Zainal Abidin Syed Mohamed Tahir. Dato’ Haji Syed Zainal also launched the ‘Drive for Celebration’ Campaign, as part of Proton’s 25th Anniversary celebrations. The campaign, which runs from 15 July to 30 September 2010, features an exciting online contest where contestants stand a chance of winning a Grand Prize of the exclusive 25th Anniversary Edition Proton Persona. There is also an SMS contest where contestants can win service vouchers worth RM1,000 by simply booking a brand new Proton car. As part of the campaign, Proton owners can also take advantage of great Balik Kampung deals, where owners will be entitled to 50 percent off labour charges when replacing selected parts for their cars. Proton will also be holding a ‘Proton 4 You Day’ on the weekend of 17th and 18th July at all of its Sales Networks in Peninsular Malaysia in conjunction with the launch of the enhanced Exora and ‘Drive for Celebration’ campaign. “The ‘Drive for Celebration’ campaign is a way for us to give back to Malaysians for their support and loyalty to Proton after 25 years,” said Dato’ Haji Syed Zainal. “We don’t just produce and sell cars, but more than that, we’d like to stay close to the owner’s heart even after the purchase is made. And the timing of this campaign also coincides with the Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebration, which makes it even more appealing.” The new Exora is available in five colour choices: Genetic Silver, Solid White, Tranquility Black, Blue Haze and Plum Red (for the Medium and High-line), and comes with a five-year or 175,000km warranty (whichever comes first)*.
