FIFA Hyundai footballs for charity
The donation, through the assistance of Social Welfare Department of Malaysia, is part of HSDM and HMC’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme to help underprivileged children in Malaysia. The 185 Limited Edition FIFA Hyundai premium footballs were donated on behalf of Hyundai car owners. The donation of the balls to the institutions coincides with Hyundai Motor Company’s global project, “1 Million Dream Balls for Africa”, which aims to provide worldwide fans with an opportunity to contribute to the African society where football is not just seen as a sport but a symbol of hope and dream to children. Dennis Ho, Managing Director of HSDM and Mr Park Jin Young, Deputy General Manager, Marketing & Product Planning Asia & Pacific Regional Headquarters of HMC handed over the FIFA balls to Dato’ Meme Zainal Rashid, Director General, Social Welfare Department at a special presentation ceremony recently held at one of the institutions. “The FIFA 2010 is a big thing for football fans around the world, and football is a popular game especially this season. We do not want our kids to miss out on the fun of playing football,” said Ho. The Social Welfare Department will begin distributing the FIFA balls to all the welfare institutions starting 23rd July 2010. |
