Shah Alam, 24 June 2010 – Hyundai-Sime Darby Motors Sdn Bhd (HSDM) today unveiled the sixth generation Sonata at their Glenmarie showroom and it will be available nationwide from 2 July 2010.

The Sonata has been a best seller in Korea since the first generation model was launched in 1985. This new model is completely redesigned with a coupe-like sleek exterior, breaking away from the contemporary designs.

The power is delivered by either the Theta II 2.0-litre or 2.4-litre four cylinder petrol engines which offer fuel efficiency and lower emissions. Its impressive 7.6L/100km fuel consumption return with the all-new maintenance free six-speed automatic transmission with SHIFTRONIC – the highest fuel economy in its segment.

HSDM also offer customers’ a 5-year warranty or 300,000km extended warranty.

The price is RM135,888 for the low spec and RM143,888 on-the-road the high spec 2.0-litre model while the 2.4-litre high spec costs RM163,888.
