Glenmarie, 19 April 2010 - While many motoring enthusiast convened to Sepang over the Malaysian F1 GP weekend for the Formula 1 Malaysian Grand Prix, another part of town was also a hive of activity on Saturday, 3rd April 2010. Auto Bavaria, the largest retail and service organization for BMW, MINI and BMW Motorrad in Malaysia held a sale on spare parts and accessories at its state-of-the-art facility in Glenmarie. As part of its ongoing dedication to its customers, Auto Bavaria gave its patrons a treat in conjunction with the Formula 1 Malaysian Grand Prix by conducting the sale.

According to Dean Brigham, Managing Director of Auto Bavaria, “Ever since we opened in Glenmarie, the support and response that we received from our customers over the years have been tremendously overwhelming and encouraging, with more than 100,000 service customers walking through our doors since the opening of our facility. As such, we wanted to give back to our customers for their loyalty and support, and saw the opportunity to coincide this initiative with the Formula 1 Grand Prix in Malaysia, as our way of saying a big thank you to our customers. We are very overwhelmed and honoured by the response we received from our customers at the sale”

Within a four hour time frame, from 9am to 1pm, more than 300 enthusiasts, including discerning BMW owners, fans and representatives from independent workshops patronized Auto Bavaria’s Glenmarie Centre to take advantage of the various items on sale, which were snapped up very quickly,

However, all is not lost for customers who were not able to take advantage of the sale last Saturday. Auto Bavaria has announced that the sale will continue till the end of April at all Auto Bavaria centres nationwide.

Items on sale include spare parts and accessories including BMW and MINI body kits, rims, tires, entertainment and navigational systems, lifestyle items and merchandise such as apparel, scale models and pens, as well as BMW Sauber F1 Team merchandise. Motorcycle enthusiasts will also be glad to know that accessories such as helmets, jackets, gloves and boots will also be on sale. However, these are subject to availability for stocks. As such, customers are advised to go early as the sale will be based on a “first come first served” basis.
