Rawang, 13 January 2010 – Perodua recently donated RM5,000 each to five schools in the Hulu Selangor area for their various activities.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak handed over the cheques to the respective school headmasters after launching "Program Juara Rakyat" in Bukit Beruntung.

Also present was Perodua’s Managing Director Aminar Rashid Salleh and senior Perodua management.

The five primary schools were Sekolah Rendah Kebangsan Bukit Sentosa, Sekolah Rendah Kebangsan Ulu Yam Lama, Sekolah Rendah Kebangsan Sri Keledang, Sekolah Rendah Jenis Kebangsan Tamil Ladang Kerling and Sekolah Rendah Jenis Kebangsan Cina Khin Ming, Kuala Kubu Baru.

"We believe in giving back to society, especially in the community we operate in," said Aminar Rashid.

"This corporate social responsibility is line with our brand tagline, Building Cars, People First, where the emphasis is on the human element," he added.
