Kuala Lumpur, 23 November 2009 – The new generation of MPV vehicle built with contemporary styling and at an affordable price is now available at all Perodua showrooms.

The Alza which means ‘to rise’ on Spanish reflects the vehicle’s purpose in meeting the high standards of Malaysian motorists. It is a car one moment and an MPV next meaning it is a perfect combination of style and comfort.

Launched today by the Deputy Prime Minister, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Mohd Yassin, there will be 6 variants available with 2 standard variants (AT/MT), 2 premium variants (AT/MT) and 2 advanced versions (AT/MT).

Perodua targets to sell between 3,500 and 4,000 units of the Alza monthly at a price range of between RM56,000 and RM64,000 per unit. The advanced versions will cost between RM67,000 and RM70,000 per unit.  

“We believe that the Alza will fulfill our customers’ lifestyle and will be the vehicle of choice for those looking to upgrade to a bigger car,” said Perodua Chairman, Tan Sri Datuk Asmat Kamaludin.

“The Alza has the highest localisation rate so far with nearly 90%,” he added.

There will be 6 colours available, Classy Purple, Ebony Black, Ivory White, Medallion Grey and Glittering Silver.
