Triton gets a facelift
“The Triton has been nothing but a success to us here at Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia. Since its launch in 2006, the sales has grown sharply and it is currently the top 2 selling pick-up truck in the country,” said Keizo Ono, Chief Executive Officer, Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia. This Triton has a re-profiled bumper and a sporty honeycombed grille design plus angular cut-outs for the headlamps. The interior space is class leading and the cargo bed is extended. In overall length, the increase is 220mm of which 180mm is the increase in the cargo beds interior length. In terms of power, the 3.2-litre engine produces 160PS and 343Nm of torque while the 2.5-litre powerplant makes 136PS and 314Nm. Both D-ID commonrail engines are DOHC 16-valve units with turbocharger and intercooler. The 4x2 Lite has a SOHC 8-valve engine with manual transmission and 2WD configuration. The price range is RM102,373.83 the 3.2L 4x4 AT Double Cab, RM94,960.71 the 2.5L 4x4 Double Cab AT, RM89,954.21, 2.5L 4x4 Double Cab MT and RM63,677.41, 2.5L 4x2 Double Cab MT on-the-road with insurance for company registration in Peninsular Malaysia.
