Tribe Toyota treasure hunt
A total of 93 vehicles with almost 400 participants from all over the Klang Valley, Negeri Sembilan, Pahang, Perak, Penang and Johor, gathered as early as 7:00 am to register themselves for a fun filled treasure hunt. The competition tested participant’s treasure hunting expertise, knowledge on Toyota, driving skills and many more. In conjunction with the up-coming Merdeka celebrations, Tribe Toyota introduced the ‘Tribe Buddy Pass” that allows Tribe Toyota members to share their experiences as a Toyota customer to their friends who own National vehicles (Proton and Perodua). The participants were flagged-off at 9:15 a.m. by Mdm. Tan Li Li, General Manager of Customer Relationship Management Division with the trail ending at the to Marriott Hotel Putrajaya. The Amazing Trails treasure hunt is different from the regular hunts as it incorporated activities that involved teamwork and mild physical challenges. At one of the stops, participants had the opportunity to participate in a slalom competition using the new Vios TRD Sportivo at Shah Alam stadium. In the “Oh what a feeling!” competition, participants were blind folded and had to name five different Toyota Genuine Parts. At another stop point at UMW Toyotsu Motors in Shah Alam, an authorized Toyota dealer, the participants had to roll a toy Toyota car down a track in an attempt to land it to a tile with the highest score. At the final stage, participants had to name the Toyota model accordingly with the given photos of different Toyota models photographed at an angle (e.g. fog lamps, grill, etc.). Once done with their tasks, participants then headed off to Puchong to answer more questions before arriving at the Marriott Hotel Putrajaya for refreshments. Madam Tan gave a short welcome speech to all the participants. In her speech she announced that Amazing Trails 2009 was the largest hunt ever organized by Tribe Toyota! She also highlighted that Toyota had just clinched again the No 1 position in the 2009 JD Power Customer Service Index survey. In her speech, she said, “I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our valued customers, who have journeyed together with us in achieving the number 1 position for the second year in a row. “ She also mentioned that the affirmation of customers’ satisfaction with Toyota services is truly invaluable. The fun continued with the treasure hunt’s answer session where participants were clapping and laughing when the answers were revealed. At the end of the day, everyone left the event with a truly unique experience and smiles on their faces.
