Lexus showcase
This showcase is part of our outreach programme that aims to introduce the Lexus Brand to a wider audience. We believe that great brands have a power to inspire and we hope that by telling our story that countless will be inspired by the Brand that took the US by storm in 1989 and became the top selling luxury import brand by 1993. The showcase which takes place at Pavilion, Kuala Lumpur, from 8 July until 12 July 2009, will offer a historical perspective of Lexus as well as offer an insight into the brand’s success. On display will be the RX350 SUV and the IS 250. Both these models mark the beginning of the next generation of Lexus vehicles that defines the brand’s design direction, incorporating three elements of the L-finesse design philosophy: Incisive Simplicity, Intriguing Elegance and Seamless Anticipation. The RX350 was created with the driver in mind using an innovative approach to performance that leads to revolutionary results. With our L-Finese philosophy in mind, our designers and engineers created a car that was bold yet sensitive, cutting edge yet practical, luxurious yet understated and last but not least stylish yet dignified. The IS 250 embodies the persona of a luxury sports sedan applies advanced aerodynamics for straight line performance, unsurpassed high speed handling and impressive fuel economy. But to truly understand the spirit and passion of a Lexus, Lexus Malaysia will also tell the story of the car that made it all possible. The LS400 premium luxury sedan, released in 1989, was hailed as one of the finest automobiles ever made. The car revolutionised engine design. This was demonstrated in one of Lexus’s TV commercial where champagne glass pyramid was stacked on top of the car’s bonnet with the engine running at speeds of up to 300kmh. Amazingly the engine was so still that the champagne classes remained intact. In line with our commitment to superior customer service, this showcase will also incorporate activities and games for both adults and children alike. It is all part of our drive to ensure that our guests have a 360 experience that is educational, informative yet enjoyable.
