Shah Alam, 16 June 2009 - The much expected refreshment exercise by UMW Toyota Motor Sdn Bhd was announced at the media preview of the Vios TRD Sportivo held at the UMW headquarters.

“We are confident of selling 500 units a month of this model and continue to maintain its position as the leader in its category,” said Kuah Kock Heng, President, UMW Toyota Motor Sdn Bhd.

“The Vios model is popular among Malaysians because of its performance, economy, reliability and value,” he added

With the new model, the current Vios 1.5S variant will be discontinued but the existing Vios variants namely the 1.5G, 1.5E and 1.5J manual will still be available.

The improvements in terms of accessories include the TRD aerokit, 15-inch alloy rim, door visor, TRD emblem, decorative panels, fabric sports seat, sports gear knob, and scuff panels.

The estimated price on-the-road price with insurance for company private registration in Peninsular Malaysia is RM91,600 and it will be available in all showrooms from 17 July 2009 although booking commences on 17 June 2009.
