Subaru’s photography competition

Petaling Jaya, 24 June 2009 - Showcase your photography skills and creativity and have your outstanding photographs displayed at the Motor Image Subaru showroom, which will be specially transformed into a photo gallery for this event.

Motor Image Sdn. Bhd., the official and sole distributor of Subaru cars in Malaysia kicked-off their inaugural photography competition on 20th June 2009. With the theme “Capture the Heart of the Experience”, this contest is organised in the spirit of capturing moments in life that matter.

Open to Malaysian residents of all ages, the competition consists of three categories – ‘Action & Motion’, ‘World in Perspective’ and ‘Essence of Subaru’. There will be a special photography outing organised for the 3rd category, limited exclusively to the first 30 contestants who sign up. Entries will be judged based on content, composition, quality, technique and creativity for all categories.

The Grand Prize for “Capture the Heart of the Experience” is a cash prize of RM 2,000, while the 1st and 2nd runner-up will receive RM 1,000 and RM 500 respectively. In addition, cash prizes of RM 200 will be awarded to the best submission in each category.

“Besides contributing towards the development of the local photography community, we believe that the “Capture the Heart of the Experience” contest will encourage Malaysians to explore their creativity and hidden talents,” said Glenn Tan, Group Chief Executive of Motor Image Group.

Winners will be announced at a special ceremony on 1st August 2009, and the winning photographs will be displayed at the Motor Image Showroom Gallery for two months beginning 1st August 2009 to 30th September 2009. The closing date for entry submission is 15th July 2009, 5.00 pm.
