Shah Alam, 29 May 2009 – Proton Holdings Berhad announced that all models under its marque are now eligible to qualify for RM5,000 discount provided under its Xchange programme following the inclusion of its latest model, Proton Exora. The new ruling is effective immediately.

The Xchange Programme, introduced by Proton since 2007, is offered to all customers nationwide. Via this scheme, customers will be able to trade in their old cars with minimum lifespan of 10 years for a RM5,000 discount when they purchase any Proton car.

Proton Holdings Berhad Managing Director Dato’ Haji Syed Zainal Abidin bin Syed Mohamed Tahir said “Proton has received overwhelming response for the Xchange Programme and we hope that with the inclusion of the Exora, it will further stimulate the sales.”

Proton would like to highlight that all existing terms and conditions under the programme are applicable to the Exora. All car models are eligible under the programme, nevertheless, these cars must first be tested and certified by Puspakom Sdn Bhd to ensure that they are not illegally tampered with. Cars with the engines or chassis tampered, or not having proper ownership claims will not be eligible under the Xchange Programme.
