Kuala Lumpur, 15 April 2009 - The much anticipated and eagerly awaited Proton MPV, the Exora, was launched today. It is a full size MPV which can accommodate 7 adults comfortably and comes with a host of features commonly available in MPVs.

The length is 4592 mm, width 1809 mm and height 1691 mm to make it besides appealing, attractive in appearance. With the winged grille and integrated head lamps plus fender its looks are impressive. To match the exterior, the interior has been given due attention with many features for the occupants including DVD/LCD monitor and navigation system (only for H-line variant). For the techies, Bluetooth is available with an integrated entertainment system. The cabin space can adjusted as the second and third row seats which are adjustable 6 different ways.

Powered by the 1.6-litre 16-valve Campro CPS engine, it is capable of the maximum power of 125 hp at 6500 rpm and maximum torque of 150 Nm at 4500 rpm. At the brief test drive session, we found it to deliver a decent drive and apt handling. As a people carrier, it will definitely give the competitors in its class much more than a run for their money.

The safety area is addressed by the dual airbags, ABS with EBD plus a back-up EBD (BEBD). A reinforced high tensile steel cage is offered and the sub frame is produced using hydro technology so that it is light weight.

There are two auto variants with the H-line priced at RM75,998 and the M-Line at RM69,998.
