Petaling Jaya, 6 November 2008 - Motor Image Sdn Bhd today introduced the Subaru Impreza WRX STI and it comes in a 5-door hatchback variant to be in-line with the third generation Impreza models.

“Pure performance and pleasure equates to this Impreza WRX STI which will put fun and excitement back into driving with its sexy curves, exquisite controls and state-of-the-art technology,” said Glenn Tan, CEO, Motor Image Enterprises.

“Bent on setting new benchmarks, this new model will affirm the WRX STI as an established icon for high performance cars that combines outstanding performance with uncompromised safety, comfort and quality,” he added.

It is powered by a 2.5-litre DOHC turbocharged Boxer engine that has been further fine-tuned to rev up a potent yet smooth performance. The transmission is the 6-speed manual while the electronically controlled throttle adjusts the control of the engine to ensure optimal acceleration that is linearly responsive to the pedal movement. It also features a Dual Active Valve Control System that offers increased torque and easy driveability. The cooling capability of the turbocharged unit has been enhanced with an enlarged intercooler and additional air outlets on the  front bumper and fender.

The colour choices are Pure White, Spark Silver Metallic, Dark Grey Metallic and WR Blue Mica at the price of RM299,966.10 on-the-road with insurance for company registration.
