Kuala Lumpur, 17 October 2008 – Bermaz Motor today launched the popular RX-8 facelift at their showroom at Jalan Ampang and the event was graced by Tengku Mahkota of Pahang.

First launched in 2003, the RX-8 became a global hit as features a new concept in sports car design due to the 4 doors and 4 full seats. It has a 1.3-litre aspirated rotary engine which turns out 3 times more power than traditional powered piston engines. To date, it won more than 40 awards worldwide and sold about 170,000 units.

This new RX-8 comes with higher specification like the 6-speed transmission with Activematic function, 9 speaker Bose Audio system, 6 disc in-dash CD player, body contoured leather seats, 18 inch allow rims and 8 airbags.

The engine performance is the maximum power of 212 hp at 7500 rpm and maximum torque of 211 Nm at 5500 rpm.

The colours available are Velocity Red Mica, Crystal White Pearl, Brilliant Black, Diamond Grey, Sunlight Silver and Galaxy Grey. The on-the-road price without insurance is RM233,699 which includes a 3 year warranty.
