Kuala Lumpur, 10 October 2008 – As follow-up to the launch of the new Myvi in August this year, Perodua today introduced a new variant, Myvi Special Edition (Myvi SE). The official launch was conducted by Datuk Syed Abdull Hafiz bin Syed Abu Bakar, Managing Director, Perodua Sales Sdn Bhd.

“After introducing the first Myvi in 2007, we had received very encouraging response for the model. The launch of this SE variant is to cater to customers who prefer a sporty variant and it forms about 25% of the total Myvi sales figures,” he said.

This variant comes with a number of improvements like bigger fog lamps, new hood and grille, headlamps with black-painted finish, new sporty rear bumper with reflectors, wide rear spoiler, smoke clear rear combination lamps and alloy rims with new surface treatment.

The interior gets a make-over with new leather seats design, meter panel and leather- wrapped steering wheel. There is also the 2-DIN audio which is MP3/WMA, USB port device and Bluetooth facilities.

There are 5 colours available - Ebony Black, Ivory White, Glittering Silver, Pearl White and Tangerine Orange. The Myvi SE 1.3 GHS (manual) is priced at from RM49,900 while the 1.3ZHS (automatic) costs RM54,000 on-the-road with insurance.
