Petaling Jaya, 26 August 2008 – The much expected special edition of the Proton Persona was launched today by Dato’ Haji Syed Zainal Abidin Syed Mohamed Tahir, Mamaging Director, Proton Holdings Berhad at a popular shopping centre.

This model is positioned to be value-for-money and at the same time offering drivers the luxury of comfort with premium accessories.

“The Persona SE is yet another testament of our philosophy of producing the right car for the right market at the right time. It has been positioned to give high value to the Persona variant with improvements made to add comfort and luxury to the car,” said Dato’ Syed.

“Product enhancements are a continuous process at Proton to offer more value for our customers,” stressed Dato’ Syed.

“As per yesterday we have 53,000 booking for the Persona and we target 500 units per month for this Persona SE,” added Dato’ Syed.

This Persona SE comes with a number of add-on like leather seats, leather steering, leather gear knob, GPS system, new bodykit, alloy rims & silver matte door handles, Auto Cruise and a new meter combi-finish that is race inspired.

The 1.6AT (IAFM) Persona SE is priced at RM59,800 on-the-road with insurance for private registration in Peninsular Malaysia.
