Petaling Jaya, 23 May 2008 – Hyundai-Sime Darby Motors Sdn Bhd today launched the all-new Hyundai Starex MPV at a major shopping centre. The event was officiated by Dennis Ho, CEO, Hyundai-Sime Darby Motors Sdn Bhd.

The 2.5-litre Diesel (Auto) VGT comes in two variants with the 7-seater and the 11-seater. It is designed to revolutionise group travel as it offers two large sliding doors, three rows of adjustable seats, LCD screen and CD changer with sound surround entertainment feature.

It is powered by the turbo-charged green diesel engine with common rail direct injection (CDRi) and variable geometry turbocharge (VGT) while the transmission is 5-speed automatic to provide economy.

The Grand version offers leather seats, pop-up 15-inch TV, electrically powered footrests, foldable coffee table and Mahogany side tables.

The base CBU model price is RM135,141.80 on-the-road without insurance for private registration in Peninsular Malaysia.
