Rawang, 24 April 2008 – Perodua today announced the name of the new flagship in its model line-up – the Perodua Nautica 4WD which will be launched in May, this year.

‘Nautica’ is derived from the word nautical, which relates to navigation on a body of water such as sailing or yachting. As such, the word ‘Nautica’ conjures images of adventure and luxury coupled with the ability to experience unlimited boundaries.

Like other Perodua vehicles, this ‘Urban Compact SUV’ comes with an exclusive tagline – “The Ideal 4WD”.

The name ‘Nautica’ together with its tagline represents the evolution of urban SUVs. The Perodua Nautica 4WD has been developed to be everything that a customer requires in a 4WD in terms of sleekness and compactness with good off-road capabilities.

The automatic transmission Perodua Nautica 4WD comes with an engine capacity of 1.5 litres and will be available in 2 attractive new colours, Medallion Grey and Majestic Black.
