EON records bookings of 9,063 units in 4 weeks for the Proton Saga
Shah Alam, 30 January 2008 - A combination of pre-launch and post-launch customer relation activities saw brisk sales for the newly launched Proton Saga surge at Edaran Otomobil Nasional Berhad (EON) with 9,063 units booked in the first four weeks. In a statement issued today, EON managing director Datuk Syed Hisham Syed Wazir said, "Enthusiasm for the new Proton Saga first saw pre-launch bookings of 2,755 units which began as early as 1 January 2008 through a number of customer relation activities." "Our success has been driven by our new sales approach in which a closer customer rapport is established, and confidence for EON and Proton cars are underscored," said Datuk Hisham. "From this relationship marketing, we have been able to conduct test drives for over 300 potential customers at our recent weekend EON Karnival 2008 which saw a 4,000 strong crowd at the Shah Alam stadium enjoying Mawi and a host of other local artistes." EON, a super dealer for Proton cars Is expecting sustained interest for the new Proton Saga as branches and sales dealerships continue to be a hive of activity recording brisk sales. The company's sales network comprises 40 sales branches and 66 sales dealers throughout Malaysia that open from 8:30 am to 9:00 pm each day. EON has plans for more festive activities in the next six months with similar carnivals in the other regions. |
